The Program Staff

Rev. Thomas Streit, C.S.C., Ph.D., serves as the Director of the UND Haiti Program, the Director of Research at Holy Cross Hospital, Leogane, Haiti, a Research Assistant Professor, UND and fellow of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies. Fr. Tom began his work in Haiti in 1993. In 1999, through the support of the Gates Foundation, he began the program to eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis.
Jean Marc Brissau, J.D., .LLM, serves as the Director of the UND Haiti Program. Jean Marc is a 2008 graduate of Notre Dame's Master of Laws Program. His legal background is a critical element in the efforts to pass legislation improving Haitian Public health. Jean Marc's responsibilities include the monitoring and reporting of all aspects of the salt project.
Dr. Luccene Desir, MD, is the UND Haiti Program, Neglected Tropical Disease Elimination Program Director for Haiti. Dr. Desir serves the program as the chief medical director in Haiti and is responsible for all medical activities.
Susan Soisson, MBA, serves as Executive Director with a special focus on Entrepreneur-in-Residence activities. Her current focus is the Leogane Project which will further develop salt micro-finance and distribution networks to partner public health, job creation and entrepreneurialism in Haiti. She is developing the strategic elements of the UND Haiti Program in conjunction with the University of Notre Dame's Internationalization and Federal growth initiatives. Susan is currently on military leave.
Wesly Pierre is the UND Haiti Program Administrator in Leogane, Haiti at Hopital Saint Croix. He has served with the program for many years and plays a critical administrative role for the program and our partners.
Marie Denise Milord, M.D., MPH, is currently at the University of Notre Dame as a professional special faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences and is the Haitian Ministry of Public Health Bi-National Coordinator for the elimination of Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases in Hispaniola. In 1994, Marie Denise received her MD at the Universidad Autonoma de Puebla. In December of 2008, Dr. Milord received her MPH from the University of South Carolina.
Sanon Eustache serves as the UND Haiti Program Business Manager. Sanon provides budget, account, and program management as well as financial analysis for the Program.
Diana Green is the Senior Administrative Assistant for the UND Haiti Program and works directly with the Residence Filariose facility in Leogane, Haiti. Diana's attention to detail allows the Haiti Program to host experiential education opportunities for medical, scientific, and social service clients.
